Why You Need a GYS MIG Welder

The GYS MIG Welder also called the AUTOPULSE 220-M3 is a MIG / MAG pulsed generator with 3 integrated wire feeders ideal for autobody repairers. There’s no better option than a GYS MIG welder. We explain the reasons why in this guide.

Despite the process being around three thousand years old, welding is still undergoing huge advances. One of the latest pieces of technology today is the GYS MIG welder. But what is this device, and how can it help you in your day-to-day role?

What Is a GYS MIG Welder

GYS has developed the ability to incorporate inverter-driven Pulse and now Double Pulse welder into its system. This gives the ability to make aluminum repairs in your workshop, especially with thin materials such as on modern vehicles. It is designed for highest performance and features several synergic curves which enables exceptional arc quality. It is also incredibly versatile, 3 welding torches for use with multiple materials including Steel, Aluminum and Brazing.

GYS is by far the easiest to use on the market, it is the only manufacturer using body shop specific Cold Pulse on their M series welders. This makes using them so much easier for the trained user.

Why Do You Need a GYS MIG Welder

With your current system, it is likely that any MIG welders you currently use do not work to resolve collision repair. That has now changed.

One of the benefits of a GYS MIG welder is that such repairs can happen faster, with less set-up, and less clean-up.

GYS MIG Welder Ease of Use

When you use the GYS MIG welder, you only need to set the thickness of the metal and the device will take care of all other calculations. This prevents problems and guesswork, taking all the risks out of the hands of the machine workers. The intuitive interface and high precision wire feed provide exceptional welding quality even when used with thin sheet materials. Its impressive 68 (adjustable) synergic curves ensure an outstanding weld for a large range of materials, wire sizes and gas used.

This is truly a revolutionary product. Technicians who have been in the collision repair industry for decades are blown away by how simple of a task MIG welding becomes when using a pulse MIG/MAG machine.

Your workshop will run more efficiently if you have a GYS MIG welder on hand, regardless of who is working in it.

How to Use a GYS MIG Welder

When you start to use a GYS Pulse MIG welder, you’ll notice the process is very straightforward. The GYS makes use of a color screen and simple controls to ensure that you can adjust its settings without worry.
You can change these settings depending on what you are welding. It does not matter whether you are planning to use it for:

  • Aluminum MIG welding
  • Steel MIG welding
  • Silicon bronze MIG welding on steel

Either way, the GYS MIG welder can calculate the settings it needs. Changing between welding modes is extremely simple. Simply grab the torch needed and pull the trigger. The machine will automatically change to the selected torch and change the gas used if necessary.
